Stefan Gössling (born 1970) is a Swedish academic who has studied sustainable tourism. He is a professor at the Linnaeus University School of Business and Economics and Lund University's Department of Service Management. He also the research coordinator at the Western Norway Research Institute's Research Centre for Sustainable Tourism.

Stefan holds a BSc in biology and a MSc in geography, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität, Münster (Germany). He received a doctoral degree in Human Ecology from Lund University, Sweden, in 2001. In between 2002-2003, he was a postdoc at the Department of Cultural Geography, Freiburg University, Germany.
