I have a JMP Super Bass from 1980 (4 holes) no MV, but I can jumper the two channels. I also have a 1980 Park (4 holer) w/ an added MV. I don't think the JMP master volume had the extra gain-stage. There were are few different types of JMP's in 1980 and like all marshall's each one sounds a little bit different. In 1980 , Marshall started using a bigger logo. At this point, Marshall’s exclusive distribution contract with Rose Morris was expiring.

JTM45 was 1963-1967 JMP was 1968 to 1980 (plexi and metalface eras!) Bear in mind that JCM800 was Jim Marshall's number plate on his car and Har en Marshall JMP 2203 1980 100w som jag funderar på att göra mig av med. To model the JMP 2203, Marshall loaned Softube’s engineers an original, all stock, 1977 JMP 2203 head from its own museum. Pairing it with a Marshall 1960B 4x12 equipped with Celestion GT12-75 speakers, Softube thoroughly emulated the original amp, right down to its touch-sensitive preamp section and crunchy 3-D clang.

It’s a 100 watt Marshall 2203 JMP Super Lead Mark II made in 1980 that been quite heavily modified by Steve Dawson of Root 2 Amplification and formally R&D Design Engineer for Marshall between 2005 to 2014.He is the guy that designed amps such as the Vintage Modern, JTM45/100 reissue, Super100 Jimi Hendrix, JMP1W head and combo, 1962 Bluesbreaker combo reissue and the Astoria to name just a few.
